A violent mugging at the hands of five juveniles provides filmmaker Andy Blubaugh with an opportunity to examine how fear has dictated much of his life- from the obsessive rituals of his youth to the ill-informed generalizations of his adulthood. The 13-minute experimental documentary, examining the role fear plays in our daily lives, starts out as somewhat precious picture of the film-maker's Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. But when Blubaugh delves into his recent mugging and assault as a point of departure (illustrated with animation and his 911 phone call) to look at PTSD, mandatory sentencing laws and emotional closure the film reaches surprising depth.
